Top Flight League.

PG8's 2025/26 Platinum League is our 1st tier league which pits multiple players against each other.

13 players have confirmed their status in next season's Platinum League with anyone else eligible to compete in our 2026 Championship to have a chance of promotion to it.

The Platinum League is currently an unlimited player league with positions determined by points gained from predicting 8 weekly game outcomes over 32 weeks. It started in August at the beginning of the English domestic season and runs until May, this season, the last week coinciding with the conclusion of The Premier League. After 31 weeks, all points are reset for the top 10 players, who fight it out on the final day to decide the champion. Other players can still play that week but only the top 10 will be in contention for the title. Those players are also drawn a home team each (determined by Premier League and Platinum League order - i.e. 1st placed in our league as of Week 31 gets the team placed highest in The Premier League playing at home and so forth) and should players be tied on points to decide the champion, the player whose home team wins will become champion. Should that not decide anything, then it goes to the player highest in the league as of Week 31, of all the players who are joint 1st after the final week's points are counted.

Players compete for the trophy throughout the season, predicting the results of matches from a variety of leagues including The Premier League, The Championship, The WSL and other domestic leagues in Europe and beyond! Dave Burtenshaw is our current defending champion! Next season The Platinum League's current last day format will be scrapped, to make way for a Premier League Trophy to bring exciting action to the final day of the Premier League.

NOTE - If you're not confirmed as a Season 4 (2026/27) Platinum League player, you can be promoted to that league via our brand new 2026 Championship. You can play that HERE. Anyone can still play in Season 3's Platinum League and remember for this season only, you just have to be in the top ten as of Week 31 to be eligible for a title shot in the final week's Premier League Shoot Out. You may be confused. Basically, you can play in any league, or both, confirmed for Season 4 or not. 2 players can be automatically promoted from The Championship this season with a further 6 entering play offs, 3 more entering by winning those.
